Last year we completed repairs on the upper north end of Tesoro Trail. Prior to the repair, water from irrigation and rain water was pooling over the pathway making it difficult to get use without walking in water.
In order to resolve the issues, we had to first create new slopes on both sides of the path to ensure water could properly drain. Second, we created sloped drainage ditches to collect the water to allow it to drain to the nearest main drainage area. In some cases, this was 200 feet long. Third, we raised the path by paving over the existing asphalt to prevent the excess water from pooling on top of the asphalt.
