You may have noticed recent tree and plant removal at two primary intersections along Island Woods Drive, specifically at Island Glenn Way and near Grand Island. This marks the beginning of our project to renovate these eight corners, in addition to the street entrance leading to the clubhouse.
Over recent years, the growth of trees in these locations has been significant, leading to adverse effects on the smaller vegetation. The expansive roots and altered canopy coverage have drastically reduced sunlight exposure necessary for the original plant life, resulting in diminished vigor and, in some instances, the complete demise of certain plants.
This past week, we initiated the clearing of these areas, setting the stage for a revitalized appearance. This will include the introduction of plant species selected for their adaptability to the current conditions. Enclosed below are the landscape plans for each corner, showcasing the envisioned improvements.
